According to Wired Magazine, nearly 110 million Netflix subscribers are the target of a new phishing email scam. Users are receiving an email notifying users to update their account to avoid suspension. They are then directed to a fake Netflix landing page prompting them to enter billing information.

As reported in Datto’s State of the Channel Ransomware Report, email phishing scams are one of the most common tactics used by hackers to gain access to your files and information.

How to Avoid the Scam?

Never give out secure information over an email request.

Netflix has provided further steps for users to keep their account secure and reminds users the company will never ask for any personal information via email.
