Our Background

Celebrating over 30 years of business, Enhanced Technologies Group, Inc. opened the doors in 1987 as a woman owned business providing IT infrastructure, services and solutions. Initially working from their garage, Kristie and Jim Ott formed a small business to build desktop computers. The Ott’s recognized the growing need in the small to mid-size market for a more cost-effective personal computer that competed with the more cost prohibitive models sold by IBM and other manufacturers. The two collaborated and put their diverse backgrounds to the task utilizing Kristie’s business management experience and Jim’s impressive engineering background to custom-build computers for the SMB market.

As the business continued to grow they shifted the company’s focus from home users and desktop computers to the corporate market and networking. In 2001 the company incorporated and Kristie took on the role as president of the corporation, with 51 percent of the stock, and Jim serving as vice president. In 2006, Kristie negotiated the purchase of a line of business from Network Corps. In addition to adding talented engineering staff and resources to the firm, the acquisition moved the company into the mid-sized corporate marketplace.

With Network Corps they acquired a technology platform for Managed Services and with the adoption of Connectwise and Level Platform Services and continued to expand their IT service offerings. In 2010, to address the accelerated convergence of telephony and computer systems, ETGI started a telephony practice and is authorized dealers for ShoreTel and Cisco VOIP telephony products.

In 2015 Enhanced Technologies merged with Infotec Business Solutions. Infotec was founded by Paul Wartenberg in 2002 and had grown into one of the leading providers of IT Managed Services for small to medium businesses.

Today, Enhanced Technologies Group, Inc. is a Premier IT Solutions and Managed Services Provider with an almost thirty year history of serving with distinction the business marketplace in Southern California and beyond. ETGI delivers award winning solutions to meet the needs of small, medium, and enterprise level business.

Level 2 Support Analyst

EnhancedTECH is dynamic and innovative IT Solutions Provider headquartered in Orange County, CA. We provide full service business to business technology solutions for today’s technology dependent world. EnhancedTECH is built upon family, competency and dedicated team-work with offices in Anaheim, Irvine, Denver and Phoenix.

The ideal candidate is a customer-service driven, technical person who can manage day-to-day operations and provide tech support to our growing customer base. This person should be comfortable multi-tasking, able to maintain high attention to detail, and be pro-active as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide second level technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and apply skill and technique.
  • Support end-users in a help desk environment resolving hardware/software issues.
  • Troubleshoot network devices, printers, and business specific or line of business applications.
  • Upgrade hardware and software as needed to ensure optimal workstation performance.
  • Systems configuration and testing including installing and updating OS and software.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
  • Knowledge of peripherals, connections, and general networking.
  • Experience working with remote support tools.
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of providing effective end user support.
  • Ensure all work details, processes, and procedures are documented within systems of record.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to multitask, prioritizes issues, and escalates when necessary.
  • Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as a strong team player
  • High attention to detail with solid organizational abilities
  • Able to work well in the face of tight deadlines & schedules.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to effectively juggle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Prompt, responsive, responsible, and friendly approach to dealing with customer problems

Education and Experience:

  • Education in computer systems and technologies or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Understanding and experience with IT HelpDesk processes, service management, and related industry best practices and standards.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge in applicable areas of technology.
  • Certifications in industry specific areas such as Microsoft, Cisco, and HP, to name a few are a plus.

Salary commensurate with proficiency/experience/education: 

Seeking a candidate that is willing to wear multiple hats and be proactive, with an eagerness for learning, and a high degree of energy and customer service.
This is a full-time, on-site position. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Orange County Monday through Friday. Local residents only, please.
